Code verification on high-gloss and highly reflective surfaces
The REA VeriCube DPM
The REA VeriCube DPM is a universal, stationary verification system designed for the verification of 2D-Matrixcodes. An outstanding feature of this system is the integrated DOME illumination, which enables directly marked codes on high-gloss and highly reflective surfaces to be verified reproducibly and reliably. This is achieved by a matt white tube in the measuring chamber of the code inspection system, which provides extremely diffuse lighting.
Regardless of the geometry of the test object, even with complex 3D shapes, shadows are avoided and extraneous light influences are eliminated, leading to reliable test results. The device therefore guarantees consistent measurement results, regardless of the shape of the object to be tested.
The REA VeriCube DPM uses the DPM (Direct Part Marking) test method according to ISO/IEC TR 29158 to determine the marking quality of the direct marking. This makes it possible to optimize and maintain the print quality of the code. In the application, such high-quality codes are read reliably and with a very high first-pass reading rate.
The verification system can be used in three different positions: sideways, upright facing upwards and upright facing downwards. It also has a replaceable, scratch-resistant real glass pane and offers selectable illumination options in red light and white light to meet a wide range of inspection requirements.
Applications
The right solution for every customer application
The REA VeriCube DPM, with its dome-shaped, highly diffuse illumination, is ideal for inspecting and verifying codes on high-gloss and highly reflective surfaces. Here are some specific applications for which the REA VeriCube DPM is ideal:
These features make it a versatile tool in a variety of industries. In the medical device sector, the VeriCube DPM is used in the quality control of surgical instruments and other high-precision instruments where error-free marking is essential and possibly life-saving.
The VeriCube DPM is also indispensable in the automotive sector . Here it is used for the inspection of parts with shiny or chrome-plated surfaces to ensure that all required markings, such as serial numbers or test certificates, are correct and clearly readable.
In the electronics sector , the VeriCube DPM supports the verification of components and assemblies with shiny surfaces, such as housings or circuit boards, by ensuring that all markings can be captured correctly and without distortion
