Device description

The Rapid Köthen Sheet Former is a precise and robust system to produce laboratory sheets, integrated into a sturdy stainless-steel frame that ensures durability and reliability. Operation is conducted via a water-resistant touch display, offering intuitive and user-friendly control of the system.

The sheet-forming process can be fully automated, with the device independently carrying out the process steps. For more flexible applications, it is possible to switch to manual mode at any time. The C model additionally features a white-water tank, enabling efficient reuse of process water.

The drying unit is designed to ensure uniform and rapid drying of laboratory sheets through precise temperature control and vacuum assistance. Each dryer can be individually controlled and is equipped with a timer and vacuum gauge to optimize process control.

Automatic Sheet Former (RK-A)

The automatic sheet former is equipped with a touchscreen panel on which all time parameters for each step can be set. Once the start button is pressed, the sheet forming process runs automatically. A manual 6-position switch is also installed, allowing the machine to be switched to manual operation at any time.

Automatic Sheet Former with White Water Circulation System (RK-C)

The model with a white water recirculation system works almost the same way as the automatic system. Instead of draining the water after sheet formation, it is possible to store this “white water” in a separate water tank. This can be configured on the touchscreen. The water stored in the white water tank can then be used when producing a new sheet. After the white water has been reused several times, the stored water can be drained via an easily accessible drain valve and used for chemical analysis, etc.
